"Crimson" -The Full EP
This is it folks. The full thing. All 15 minutae of it. Am I using that word correctly? Inconceivable!
In any case, this is the first full work I am releasing to the public in full. Fully. Redundantly.
The songs are, in order: "Skullsnare", "Crimson", "Sheriff Red", "The Desert", "Darkside", and "Auditory Infection"
Some background:
I came up with this idea for a concept album focusing on one color, crimson, a long while ago. I believe it was about two to three months ago.
That's long in teenage time.
It's been a long-ish process, but I feel this EP really stands on it's own. Enjoy.
And right here you can ALSO download the EP's single, "Crimson"! Just click the button below the video.

A short analysis, for your pleasure:
"Skullsnare" -This is a nice metal-ish, punk-ish kind of song that gets the album started with the simple album cover motif, so that
later songs can delve into the deeper stuff. The main inspiration for the skull on the cover IS this song, after all. This is highly reminiscent
of a lot of my "Nightfallen" stuff, which I may give it's own page soon. It's the recent me, with a spin.
"Crimson"- This song epitomizes the album, brings it together. It's a bit off-kilter, a bit out there, a bit psychadellic, and there's a muffled voice
going "She said I was Crimson. I said she wasn't kidding." all the way through. Kind of a weird single, frankly, but I like it.
"Sheriff Red"- A return to form for lovers of my earliest stuff, like "The Last True Cowboy Song" and "In My Yard" -both on Euphorium, which may
get a full or partial release soon as well. The accents are good here, no? In any case, this is an Affectionate Parody. I do not hate country
music or spaghetti westerns. I love them. That's why I make songs using them. In any case, you can analyze this some, despite it's sparse lyrics...
Sheriff Red is the type of guy we all know in love, who knows when to shut up and when to be serious... which is almost all the time. And he rights wrongs, too.
"The Desert"- The introspective side of the album, running from the Crimson sun in a place where there's no cover. Such an image.
"The Darkside"- Yes, you may think of "Dark" as meaning "the color of night, which is black, right?", but this song is more about
"walking to the darkside" and to walk to the dark side of a planet from the light side, you'll have to see a sunset or sunrise. Preferably a crimson sunset in this case.
"Auditory Infection"- This song samples many B-Sides you've never heard, most notably "Wizard's Tainted Progeny" and "The Taxidermy Jingle" (The "YOU MUST DO MY BIDDING!" and "Kill it, then stuff it" parts respectively) just a bit of fun at the end to reward the real fans who listened straight through.
